Xcelerate is a division of the Silver Star Freestyle Club that offers seasonal training sessions and camps to passionate freestyle skiers and snowboarders who want year-round training options based out of the North Okanagan and Silver Star Mountain. These offerings will focus on freestyle skill and athletic development that will broaden an athlete’s trick portfolio. 

Head Coaches Wade Garrod (Ski) and Crispin Lipscomb (Snowboard) work closely with a passionate coaching team and leadership team to meet the goals of each individual athlete. Xcelerate will provide a positive, fun, and safe learning environment for freestyle athletes and teams.

Specific Xcelerate programs have been designed for Grassroots, Development, and Performance categories. 

Every athlete signed up for Xcelerate is a keen and passionate skier and strives to learn tricks in the ski genres of freestyle, freeski, freeride and snowboard park. All athletes participating in Xcelerate programs are making a serious commitment to developing their freestyle skills. 

Although Xcelerate is focused on the disciplines of big air and slopestyle, it is recommended that athletes also train and even compete in moguls (ski), SBX (SB) or freeride during the winter season to build strong ski/ride skills. Skiing/riding, air and rails skills are the basic skills developed in this program and strong basic athletic movements are practiced throughout all levels of this program.
